NFL Exec Calls McCaffrey, Fournette "Selfish P---ies" For Skipping Bowl

One NFL executive is reportedly not a fan of star players not playing in their team's bowl game.

Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey and LSU running back Leonard Fournette will both be skipping their team's bowl games. Both star running backs have declared for the 2017 NFL Draft.

To avoid injury and gear up for the NFL Combine, both McCaffrey and Fournette decided not to play in their bowl games. There are two trains of thought when it comes to players skipping their final game in order to stay healthy and get ready for the NFL.

One school of thought thinks it is a good idea to keep yourself healthy and not play in the game. Their reason? An injury in a bowl game could ruin your shot at the NFL. The second school of thought suggests you only care about yourself, and not your team.

One NFL assistant GM agrees with the latter:

McCaffrey and Fournette are both projected to be first round picks in the 2017 NFL Draft.
