The Clemson Tigers just signed Dabo Swinney to the richest contract in college football history.

According to multiple reports, Swinney inked a 10-year, $93 million deal to remain the head coach of the Tigers. The Clemson Board of Trustees met to approve the deal just months after bringing the Tigers their second national title in three years.

The new deal makes Swinney the highest-paid coach in college football. Alabama head coach Nick Saban sits in second-place with $8.7 million per year, while Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh ($7.5 million), Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher ($7.5 million), Auburn’s Gus Malzahn ($6.8 million) round out the top five.

"I don't think the board can really capture the gratitude for coach Swinney and the way he has run his program," Board chair Smyth McKissick said before the unanimous vote to approve the contract.

Swinney and the Tigers brought home their second national title in three years after dominating Alabama in the championship game.

Clemson is the early favorite to take home back-to-back titles, with star quarterback Trevor Lawrence leading the way.

The Tigers domination on the football field can only be matched by their domination in recruiting. Clemson landed the No. 1 recruit in the 2020 class earlier this week and is the favorite to land the No. 1 quarterback in the class.

Life is good for Dabo and company.
