Clemson vs. Virginia Tech preview:

After its first loss of the season, Clemson is rolling. With back-t0-back blowout wins over Wake Forest and South Carolina, the Tigers look like a team that is poised for a spot in the College Football Playoff. Last weekend's 56-7 demolition of the Gamecocks should give Tiger fans a sight of what is to come this weekend.

Virginia Tech has three losses on the season, two against very suspect competition. The Hokies got stomped on by a Syracuse team that isn’t going to make a bowl game, and got run over by a middling Georgia Tech team. To make matters worse for the Hokies, they seemed to be playing down to poor opponents. Then it was time for a Virginia-Virginia Tech matchup. The Hokies spanked the Cavaliers by a score of 52-10, which is a nice warmup for the ACC Championship Game.

The Tigers and Virginia Tech have played 33 times in history, with the Tigers holding a 20-12-1 advantage.

Clemson vs. Virginia Tech prediction:

Both teams enter this game coming off of dominating performances against their rivals. Clemson is the favorite, and with Deshaun Watson at the helm, it deserves to be.

Both teams field solid defenses, but Watson will be the difference in this one.
