Colin Cowherd Calls USC Players "Uninterested" As They Trail UCLA
Saturday hasn't gone the way USC or their fans have hoped. The Trojans are down big to their rivals UCLA in the final regular-season game of the season, putting an end to a year of missed opportunities and unfulfilled expectations.
USC began the year as a contender for the College Football Playoff, and they'll end it without even qualifying for the conference championship game.
Fox's Colin Cowherd noted the lack of fight by the Trojans in Saturday's game, and he gave his opinion on what he's seen from the team against the Bruins.
"USC has just mailed it in today. Zero energy," Cowherd said. "In the biggest game for the alumni and school — they appear uninterested."
USC appears to be headed to their fifth loss of the season in what could be quarterback Caleb Williams' final college game.
The Trojans will have one more game this year, as they've won seven games and have earned a berth in a bowl game, but Williams could choose to follow the trend of top NFL draft picks who sat out their team's bowl games.
If this is the end for Williams, he will leave USC as a Heisman winner who created great individual moments while the team was unable to reach the level of success that many expected.
