Colin Cowherd ranked the top 10 coaches he would draft from the SEC and Big Ten.

The battle between which conference is the best in college football wages on. The Big Ten and SEC are potentially the best conferences in college football, but which one is better? On his show, The Herd With Colin Cowherd, the host picked the 10 best college coaches from the SEC and Big ten.

">Cowherd's take? He placed seven Big Ten coaches in his top 10, with just three coming from the SEC. The battle for the top spot came down to Alabama's Nick Saban and Ohio State's Urban Meyer. Alabama and Ohio State are the last two national champions, with Saban and Meyer leading their teams to the title.

  1. Urban Meyer, Ohio State
  2. Nick Saban, Alabama
  3. Jim Harbaugh, Michigan
  4. Mark Dantonio, Michigan State
  5. Kirk Ferentz, Iowa
  6. Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M
  7. Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern
  8. Bret Bielema, Arkansas
  9. Paul Chryst, Wisconsin
  10. Mike Riley, Nebraska

According to Cowherd, Meyer is the best coach in college football. It's a tough decision between Meyer and Saban, although the Alabama head coach does have four national championships in the past seven years. Cowherd made the point that Meyer beat Saban in their last battle, and he does have a tendency to turn programs around quickly.
