On Wednesday afternoon, Texas State head coach Jake Spavital was named as a possible candidate for the offensive coordinator position with the Arizona Cardinals. New head coach Kliff Kingsbury worked with Spavital at Houston, leading to the rumors of the pair teaming up yet again.
However, it didn’t take long for Spavital to address those rumors. The Texas State head coach has a simple, but effective, message for Bobcats faithful who wanted to see him on the sidelines in 2019.
Check it out.

Kingsbury and Spavital worked together at Houston when Kingsbury was an offensive quality control coach and Spavital was a graduate assistant. Since then, Spavital served as the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M, Cal, and most recently, West Virginia.
Now he’ll gear up for his first head coaching opportunity. He immediately became one of the youngest head coaches in college football when he signed his deal – he’s just 33 years old.
