New College Football Coach Firing Odds Have Been Released

The college football season hasn't started yet, but you can already bet on which coaches will be fired. In fact, the "first coach to be fired odds" have been updated.

OddsShark released the new firing odds this afternoon, via BetMyBookie.

The top two choices aren't surprising.

Maryland's D.J. Durkin is the likeliest coach to be fired at -150. Durkin could be out before the season starts depending on how the university handles its investigation into him.

Ohio State's Urban Meyer is next at +400, but many think Meyer will be suspended and not fired. In third is Kansas' David Beaty (+600), which makes sense considering how woeful the Jayhawks have been.

Most of the names on this list make sense, though only a few of these guys will actually be fired. Some will have strong enough seasons to save their jobs, while others aren't really on the hot seat at all.
