With the Ohio State Buckeyes getting blown out by Purdue on Saturday night, we've got another major shakeup in the polls. Ohio State was the No. 2 team in the country - they're likely to fall a number of spots after such an ugly loss.

The first version of this year's College Football Playoff rankings doesn't come out until October 30 - after next week's games. But let's take a shot at guessing which 10 teams would be at the top of the rankings if it were unveiled this Tuesday.

Alabama, of course, would be the No. 1 team in the country. After that, it's probably Clemson and Notre Dame.

Here are our projections for the top 10 teams in the rankings, right now:

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Notre Dame
  4. LSU
  5. Michigan
  6. Georgia
  7. Texas
  8. UCF
  9. Oklahoma
  10. Ohio State

Again, the real rankings won't debut until the Tuesday after next. We're almost there.
