If the College Football Playoff field was decided today, we now know the four teams that would be in, as the committee has released its second rankings.
Undefeated Georgia, which has a huge win at Notre Dame and has been rolling opponents for weeks, comes in at No. 1 yet again, followed by Alabama, which has played in every College Football Playoff thus far.
After the Crimson Tide, things get a bit wild, with undefeated Miami, and Wisconsin, and strong teams at Clemson, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Washington all vying for spots. Ohio State, Penn State, and Oklahoma State all lost this weekend, causing a significant shift.

These rankings don’t really mean anything until the final set, and the four-team College Football Playoff field, are unveiled after the season ends. However, it does provide some insight into which teams are ahead right now, and what the selection committee is weighing heavily this year.
