A backup quarterback has been suspended for today's game. According to Alex Donno of 560WQAM, the Miami Hurricanes will be without the services of quarterback Jarren Williams.

The reserve quarterback was reportedly suspended due to an undisclosed violation of team rules. Williams did not travel with the Hurricanes to Blacksburg for this afternoon's game against Virginia Tech.

It's a tough blow for the Hurricanes, but the team will have to rock with Malik Rosier and N'Kosi Perry for today's game against the Hokies.

Here's the news from Donno.

Rosier leads the team with over 1,000 yards through the air. Perry is a close second with 866 yards, but neither has completed over 54-percent of their passes this season.

Williams completed just one pass on the season, on three attempts.

Miami and Virginia Tech kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET. Stay tuned.
