Tyler Baron isn’t ready to decide where he’ll be playing college football yet, but the four-star recruit did announce important news regarding his recruitment.
Baron is the No. 3 strong-side defensive end and No. 101 overall recruit in his class, per 247Sports. He received scholarship offers from 37 programs thus far.
Even though a plethora of programs extended offers to Baron, only five teams remain in the hunt for his commitment.
On Friday, Baron announced the top five schools that are still in consideration. The five programs on his list are Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Kentucky and Tennessee.
The four-star defensive end shared his list on social media.
Here is the official announcement from his Twitter account:

All five programs in the sweepstakes for Baron are in a ‘Power Five’ conference.
It’s not shocking to see that Tennessee is firmly in the mix for the talented recruit. After all, he plays high school football at Knoxville Catholic.
The most surprising team on Baron’s list is Kentucky. Mark Stoops has done an incredible job of building up the football program to a very respectable status.
Ohio State, Oklahoma and Oregon shouldn’t be dismissed from Baron’s recruitment process. However, 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions have Tennessee earning his commitment.
