The No. 1 overall quarterback recruit in the 2020 recruiting class is currently uncommitted, but that won't last for long.

DJ Uiagalelei, a five-star pro-style quarterback recruit out of Bellflower, California, will be committing in May.

The No. 6 overall recruit in the 2020 class will be announcing on May 5.

From 247Sports:

Uiagalelei, the nation’s top rated quarterback and the No. 6 prospect overall in the 247Sports Composite, will announce his commitment on May 5th. May 5 is the birthday of Uiagalelei’s mother Tausha and the talented signal caller will likely be putting out a video of his announcement.

Uiagalelei has one more visit to take before his announcement and will be in Oregon April 20 for the Ducks Spring Game. The Ducks have been relentless in their recruitment of Uiagalelei for the last year but do have some ground to make up before May 5.

The top contenders for the five-star QB appear to be Clemson, Oregonn and USC.

Clemson might be the favorite, as the elite prospect is coming off a spring game visit to the Tigers' campus.

Clemson's 2020 class is already loaded, with the Tigers' class ranking No. 2 in the country.
