Dabo Swinney Has Responded To Will Muschamp's Jab At Clemson

The Clemson-South Carolina rivalry never stops. Even in offseason doldrums of April.

Gamecocks' head coach Will Muschamp took a bit of a jab at the Tigers' program earlier this month. He made a comment about the "real" Death Valley.

South Carolina's head coach made the jab during a speaking engagement. He was talking about his time at LSU.

“We were at the REAL Death Valley, not the one somewhere else,” he joked.

Of course, both Clemson and LSU refer to their home stadiums as "Death Valley." And an easy way to rile up one of the fan bases is to say that the other is the "real" one.

Swinney was asked for his response by The Clemson Insider. Here's what he said:

"We've lost about two games in five years, so we'll pick it up," he said while smiling. "We'll see if we can get a little better."

"I like the Death Valley where I'm at."

That's a pretty solid response from Clemson's head coach. The Tigers and the Gamecocks are set to meet on Nov. 24 at Clemson.
