The biggest story in college football this week revolves around Dabo Swinney's decision to start Trevor Lawrence at quarterback. While placing the freshman into the starting role is huge news, Kelly Bryant's latest decision could be even more important.

With the dual-threat quarterback ready to transfer from Clemson, one lucky program will gain a battle-tested leader for next season.

As for the Tigers, hearing about Kelly's decision to transfer was quite upsetting. When Swinney was asked about Bryant leaving the program, he provided the full story.

Once Swinney realized Bryant was missing from practice, he sent someone to check on his senior quarterback. Although he decided to head home, Bryant sent his coach a heartfelt text about his intentions.

Bryant put together an impressive campaign in 2017, finishing with 24 total touchdowns en route to the College Football Playoff.

Clemson will have to move past this unfortunate split this weekend, as they host Syracuse.

With Lawrence officially the starting quarterback for the rest of the season, it'll be interesting to see how the Tigers perform.
