Dan Mullen Takes A Shot At Florida After Scott Stricklin Hiring

Florida hired Scott Stricklin and Dan Mullen had to throw out some facts.

On Tuesday, the Florida Gators officially hired former Mississippi State athletics Director Scott Stricklin and Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen took a shot at Gator nation.

The former Florida offensive coordinator told 247 Sports "Heck, we've won more games than Florida has in the last six years so they probably want him and I am not surprised people came after him."

Sorry Florida fans, but Mullen's statement is accurate. The Bulldogs have gone 50-28 over the last six seasons while Florida has gone just 47-30.

Mullen did have nice things to say about Stricklin, however:

"He's always been great with me and always professional," Mullen told Paul Jones, of 247Sports. "He's been great to work with and it's all because Scott and I had a great professional relationship.

Pending any coaching changes, Mullen and the Bulldogs won't get a shot against the Gators until the 2018 season when Florida travels to Mississippi State.
