The college football season is one day away, and that means it's time for predictions. College football analyst Danny Kanell is throwing his hat in the ring, and he started off with an eye-popping prediction for 2023.

Kanell began his "13 thoughts" by saying that the ACC will get two teams in the College Football Playoff.

On the surface, it's definitely a possibility. Florida State and Clemson each enter the season in the top 10, and they could each make a run that would land them in the playoff.

The problem is that there are a lot of good teams ahead of them that have stronger schedules and therefore may be looked at more favorably by the committee.

The ACC has struggled for representation in the playoff outside of Clemson and Florida State, and it appears that each of those teams are its best chance to crash the party.

Florida State can take a huge leap if it has a dominant showing in Week 1 against LSU.

Handling a top five team may convince voters that they've already done enough to be considered one of the best teams in the nation, and from that point forward they would be in control of their own destiny.

We'll see if Kanell's prediction comes true this season.
