Darius Bazley, a five-star recruit in the 2018 class, shocked much of the college basketball world when he announced that he would be skipping college (he was committed to Syracuse) and play in the NBA's G-League.

That is apparently no longer going to happen, though.

Bazley, the No. 17 overall recruit in the 2018 class, will no longer be playing in the G-League. Instead, he's going to use the year to train and prepare for the 2019 NBA Draft.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported the news.

"Top prospect Darius Bazley tells Athletic he’s decided not to play in G League, will use year to train and prepare as professional before 2019 NBA draft," he reports.

Bazley is a 6-foot-9, 200-pound small forward. He's projected to be a potential first-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

247Sports' Composite Rankings have him ranked the No. 4 SF in the class.
