DaVaris Daniels' Father Tweets That His Son Is Done At Notre Dame, Will Weigh Options For His Future

Earlier this month, it was announced that the five Notre Dame players who were suspended for alleged academic fraud would get to choose if they wanted to reveal the results of their hearings. We learned on Friday that one of the suspended Fighting Irish players -- cornerback KeiVarae Russell -- would miss all of this season, but plans on returning in 2015.

Today, we learned the fate of another member of the "Frozen Five": senior wide receiver DaVaris Daniels. According to his father, Daniels is done at Notre Dame, and he will begin contemplating his next steps.

Phillip Daniels did not specify if his son is leaving South Bend by his own volition, if the school decided his career at Notre Dame is over, or if it's some combination of the two. However, Daniels is optimistic about his future, no matter where he goes.

The school did announce that all five players are still enrolled in the university, but it's not clear whether they're just being allowed to finish out the semester. No matter what, it's an unfortunate end to Daniels' Fighting Irish career.
