Deion Sanders Had Colorado Fans Chanting 1 Word This Morning
Deion Sanders and Colorado are on the way to another highly-anticipated game this week, but it's for reasons outside of football.
Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell added a new element to Saturday night's matchup when he made comments about Sanders and the way he dresses when speaking to the media.
Norvell criticized Sanders for wearing a hat and sunglasses, saying that his mother taught him to remove those items when speaking to people.
Sanders has used the comments as motivation, amping his ranked team and the fanbase up by claiming that Norvell "made things personal."
In his appearance on Fox's Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday morning, Sanders and the crowd were in lockstep on the mantra of the week.
"What is it today? It's...," Sanders said, as the crowd responded "personal!"
The crowd repeated the word as Sanders ran down the reasons why he's taking Saturday's game personally, including that Norvell talked about his mother and tried to diminish his success.
The call-and-response shows just how in tune Sanders is with the Colorado fanbase, and how much they appreciate what he's done for the program and the university.
Celebrities from all walks of life have appeared in Boulder ahead of this week's game, a contest that the Buffaloes are favored to win by multiple touchdowns.
