Nearly a month ago, Demetris Robertson, the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2016 class, took to Twitter to announce some surprising news. He decided to transfer out of California's program.

The former five-star recruit surprised many when he decided to commit to Cal out of Georgia back in 2016. He totaled 837 yards and 7 touchdowns through two seasons with the team.

Robertson announced his transfer decision with a statement on Twitter.

Three weeks later, Robertson announced he's heading home. The former top wide receiver recruit is headed to Georgia.

The rich get richer. Georgia landed the No. 3 recruiting class in 2017, the No. 1 recruiting class in 2018, and just landed the former No. 1 wide receiver recruit.

Robertson, a Georgia native, was one of the top recruits in the country coming out of high school in 2016.

The five-star wide receiver was ranked the No. 1 overall wideout and No. 13 overall recruit in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
