Would he get fired for a loss this weekend?

We’re at the point in the college football season where college coaches are being evaluated for next season.

Deserved or not, some head coaches are on the hot season despite only having a few losses.

One such coach is Auburn’s Gus Malzahn, who has the Auburn Tigers as the No. 10 team in the country, but somehow finds himself on the hot seat as well.

According to Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports, a loss this weekend could mark the end of Malzahn in Auburn.

Even at 7-2 going into Week 11, Malzahn is, was and might always be on the hot seat. You wouldn’t understand, it’s an Auburn thing … so much so that if he doesn’t beat Georgia or Alabama in coming weeks, Malzahn could be fired. The fact that the athletic director who hired him, Jay Jacobs, is on his way out doesn’t help matters.

The Tigers could go from a top 10 team to an 8-4 team in just three weeks, and find themselves needing a new head coach as they enter the 2018 season.

Would Auburn get rid of Malzahn after an 8-4 season?
