Former LSU star running back Derrius Guice, who many projected as a first-round pick, slid all the way to 59th overall on Friday night. But the story of Guice's draft fall may not be over just yet. NFL Network's Mike Mayock says there could be a story looming that would be "highly embarrassing" to both Guice and the team that drafted him - the Washington Redskins.

Guice's slide has been attributed to a number of factors. Todd McShay mentioned "accountability" issues. Adam Schefter noted that Guice may have lied about some questions that NFL teams asked him during the Combine. But Mike Mayock suggested that it may be more than that.

Via CBS Sports:

Moment later, NFL Network's Mike Mayock added: "[Guice] is a first-round talent. He had several issues meeting with teams. missed some flights, [they] didn't like his attitude. ... [He] fired his agent ... and it was a tumultuous offseason for this young man. ... There is another investigation out there that could be potentially embarrassing for the kid and the team that drafts him. ... That's why he's sliding right now."

It was a quote that quickly went viral on Twitter.

Ian Rapoport had another interesting tidbit. He suggested that some "incidents in college" that were not reported contributed to his fall.

At this point, it's unclear whether anything else is going to come out regarding Guice's slide. We'll keep you updated.
