Deshaun Watson On Clemson Beating South Carolina: "It's Like Daddy Beating His Son"

Clemson blew out South Carolina on Saturday, and quarterback Deshaun Watson made it clear that he thinks his team runs the state.

Clemson vs. South Carolina wasn't much of a contest on Saturday night, as the Tigers, behind a monster game from quarterback Deshaun Watson, took a commanding first quarter lead and never looked back. Watson, who threw six touchdowns passes in the affair, led his team to a 56-7 victory - giving Clemson its third straight win in the series. After the contest, he gave reporters an incredible quote about the rivalry.

Watson, when being asked about a quote from a South Carolina player regarding one brother beating another, clarified that he thinks that when Clemson beats South Carolina, it's "like daddy beating his son." He added "we run this state" - further making his point.

Clemson is now one win away from a second consecutive trip to the College Football Playoff. To get there, they'll have to win the ACC title game against Virginia Tech.
