Deshaun Watson made an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show Wednesday afternoon as he made the media rounds ahead of the Super Bowl.

In his appearance on the show, Watson revealed he would have gone to a different college if he could have played basketball as well as football. According to Watson, he was a very good basketball player and would have liked to play both sports.

So, where would he have gone instead of Clemson? Watson said he grew up a Duke fan and would have played football for the Blue Devils if it meant he got to play for Coach K at Duke.

He also said he grew up idolizing J.J. Redick during his time with Duke because he wore the No. 4, which Watson wore at Clemson.

The college football landscape would have looked quite different with Watson in a Blue Devils uniform. Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide might have an extra national title if Watson decided to take his talents to Duke rather than Clemson.

Would he be the Houston Texans quarterback? Or would he be on an NBA roster instead of playing under center?

Unfortunately we'll never know the true answer, but it's a fun hypothetical.
