The former star Hoosiers' wideout was found dead in a river.
James Hardy, a former star Indiana wide receiver, was found dead on Wednesday. He was 31.
The former second-round NFL Draft pick was found dead in a river in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Details are fairly sparse right now, but some have emerged.
Hardy's family reportedly reported him missing about a week ago.
Here's the latest, from Fort Wayne's NBC affiliate:
According to police, a water plant worker noticed a foul smell coming from the North side of the Hosey dam and after further inspection, he discovered a body trapped in the log jam.
It appears the body has been in the water for seven to 10 days.
The Coroner's Office is still investigating the cause and manner of death after an autopsy Thursday failed to identify how and why Hardy died.
Rest in peace, James.
