Arkansas WR Drew Morgan Was Ejected For Reportedly Spitting On A Virginia Tech Player

Arkansas senior wide receiver was ejected from the Belk Bowl in the fourth quarter on Thursday night.

If it were possible, the Arkansas Razorbacks would probably go back in time a few days right about now.

Thursday afternoon, it was reported that earlier in the week, senior tight end Jeremy Sprinkle had allegedly been caught shoplifting from Belk while his team was on a shopping spree. Sprinkle, as you'd imagine, was suspended for the Belk Bowl as a result.

Thursday night, Arkansas took a 24-0 lead into halftime against Virginia Tech, only to completely collapse in the second half. The Hokies mounted an incredible comeback to emerge victorious, 35-24.

After the contest, we learned that senior wide receiver Drew Morgan, who was ejected in the fourth quarter, was kicked out of the game for reportedly spitting in the face of one of his opponents. Yikes.

Certainly, Arkansas has seen better times. Morgan didn't directly address the issue on Twitter after the game, but he did note that he wishes his career could have ended differently.

Arkansas finishes the season with a 7-6 record. Players likely are already ready for the 2017 season.
