ESPN’s Adnan Virk is facing criticism for his choice of words regarding Texas head coach Charlie Strong’s job status.
It’s fair to say that Texas head coach Charlie Strong is on the hot seat after his team’s fourth loss of the year – this one to Kansas State. ESPN personality Adnan Virk went a different route to describe Strong’s situation and he’s catching some heat for it.
Virk, on ESPN’s College Football Scoreboard, noted how “tight” the “noose” is around Charlie Strong at Texas right now. Some are taking exception to his comments.
"It's getting awfully tight, the noose around Charlie Strong right now at Texas," one ESPN in-studio host just said…Wow.

"The noose around Charlie Strong" probably not the best word choice on ESPN College Football Scoreboard…

There’s zero chance that Virk meant the comment to be offensive, but that doesn’t mean the clip won’t go viral. Expect and apology and likely no further action.
Update: Virk has taken to Twitter to apologize.
I used a poor choice of words during a discussion about Coach Strong's performance. It was inappropriate and ill-advised. My apologies

Let’s all move on.
