Few people seem to be enjoying LSU’s big win over Alabama more than ESPN college football analyst Marcus Spears. The former NFL defensive end starred for the Tigers and was an All-American in Baton Rouge in 2004.
Spears, a rising star at ESPN, went on an epic rant about LSU’s victory on Get Up! this morning.
“This was the state of Louisiana against the University of Alabama. This was not just about football,” Spears said. “Saturday was a moment in time that we won’t forget for a long time.”
“All we did is went into Bryant-Denny (Stadium) and put 46 points up on the board. Now ya’ll talk about it. I’m out!”
Sometimes it's more than "just a game."

Well done, Marcus Spears.
With that win, LSU is expected to jump to the No. 1 overall spot in the College Football Playoff rankings tonight. Alabama’s status for the playoff, meanwhile, is in serious question.
