Week 1 of the college football season begins tomorrow night. Even though some teams have played already, the 2019 season begins in earnest this weekend.
Every FBS team enters the new year with goals in mind. Some might harbor legitimate national title hopes, while others are just looking to make some noise in their conference and make a bowl.
Others are hoping to sneak into bowl eligibility, while still others are just hoping to be respectable. Whatever the target is, the chase begins now.
ESPN analysts Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach released their preseason bowl projections today. They picked matchups for every single game, including the College Football Playoff and national championship games.

Of the non-playoff projections, a few stand out. A potential renewal of the old Nebraska-Miami rivalry in the Pinstripe Bowl, the Brandon Wimbush Bowl (Notre Dame vs. UCF in the Cotton), Syracuse and Penn State meeting in the Orange and an LSU-Texas rematch in the Sugar.
Also, don't forget the battle of Urban Meyer's exes between Utah and Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. All of these would be fun matchups if they pan out.
