How many one-loss teams will the College Football Playoff feature?
ESPN college football expert Mark Schlabach believes there are eight teams with a serious potential to make the College Football Playoff with one loss.
- Ohio State
- Texas A&M
Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Ohio State all appear to have fairly easy paths to the College Football Playoff with just one loss. The Crimson Tide could lose this week to Tennessee, win out and make it. The Tigers could lose any of their remaining games outside of the ACC Championship Game and make it. The Buckeyes and the Wolverines could lose one of their remaining games (as long as it's not the game against each other), win out and make it.
Louisville, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Washington have tougher paths, either in the games they're playing or the help they'll need from other teams.
