ESPN Names 7 Heisman Trophy Candidates For 2018

Baker Mayfield gives speech after winning Heisman.

Here's an early look at the 2018 Heisman Trophy picture.

ESPN college football writer Mark Schlabach has released a series of "bold" predictions for the 2018 season. One of those predictions centers on the Heisman Trophy.

The "bold" prediction for the 2018 Heisman Trophy:

A sophomore is going to win it.

Which sophomore, though?

ESPN named a couple of Heisman Trophy-contending sophomores. It's a pretty stacked list.

Georgia QB Jake Fromm

Georgia RB D'Andre Swift

Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins

Ohio State RB J.K. Dobbins

Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa

Clemson RB Travis Etienne

Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor

The popular pick here will be Tagovailoa, who led Alabama to a comeback win in the College Football Playoff national title game over Georgia.

The last sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy is Lamar Jackson, who won it during the 2016 season.

Who's your pick?
