In the midst of a down season, a change could be coming for the USC football program. Two year after winning the Rose Bowl, head coach Clay Helton might be on his way out as the Trojans sit at 5-6 on the season.
The Trojans sat at 4-2 on the season coming off of a huge win over then-No. 19 Colorado. However, the team dropped four of the next five games - and the latest loss is easily the hardest pill to swallow, a loss to rival UCLA.
With the Trojans struggling as they are, rumors are swirling about a potential replacement for Clay Helton. According to ESPN's Arash Markazi, Penn State head coach James Franklin is "at the top" of the wish list for USC boosters.
Earlier today, Franklin addressed the rumors of his potential exit from Penn State. Franklin did not rule out the possibility.
If Franklin decides to leave the Nittany Lions, there are a few names the program should call.
