The 2019 College Football Playoff race is heating up as we wrap up October and head into the final month of the regular season. Several teams are still in the mix, though the list will continue to get shorter as the weeks go on.

ESPN believes there are three teams facing "must-win" games on Saturday. These three teams need to win in order to stay in contention.

The three teams:

  • Auburn, which plays at LSU
  • Wisconsin, which plays at Ohio State
  • Notre Dame, which plays at Michigan

All three of these teams already have one lost. A second loss would be crippling.

"Welcome to second-chance Saturday, where three one-loss bubble teams have an opportunity to regain some footing in the College Football Playoff conversation -- or drop out entirely. No one-loss team with a chance to win its Power 5 conference title is out of the mix. Where it becomes a distinct disadvantage is if those teams are compared to undefeated conference champions, but if Wisconsin, Auburn and Notre Dame keep winning -- while others stumble -- the debate will begin," ESPN writes.

ESPN's Football Power Index doesn't see any of these teams winning, unfortunately. Notre Dame likely has the best chance of winning, though the Fighting Irish are somewhat surprisingly a small underdog.

Who do you have winning these pivotal Week 9 games?
