The Big Ten missed out on the College Football Playoff this year.

The Big Ten didn't have any teams in the College Football Playoff this year.

Will that change in 2018?

Probably.

ESPN named today 10 teams that could make the playoff next year after missing it this year. The Big Ten got four teams on the list.

Those four teams:

  • Ohio State
  • Michigan
  • Penn State
  • Wisconsin

Both Ohio State and Michigan could be top five teams entering the 2018 season, especially if the Wolverines get to start Shea Patterson at quarterback. Penn State and Wisconsin will both return some nice talent, too.
