ESPN has published a bunch of college football predictions in anticipation of the season getting fully underway this week.

Week 1 is here, with several notable games - Alabama-Louisville, Michigan-Notre Dame, Auburn-Washington, LSU-Miami - taking place this weekend.

ESPN college football reporter Mark Schlabach published his predictions for the upcoming season on Monday. Included in those predictions are "hot seat" rankings for the sport's head coaches.

According to ESPN, here are five coaches that might be fired in 2018 if things go really poorly:

  • LSU's Ed Orgeron
  • Washington State's Mike Leach
  • Kansas' David Beaty
  • Illinois' Lovie Smith
  • North Carolina's Larry Fedora

Orgeron is the biggest name on this list. There have been questions about his hiring at LSU from the start.

Expectations aren't too high for the Tigers this fall - they begin the year ranked No. 25 - but they'll need to show something in order for the administration to remain confident in Coach O.
