The 2019 college football regular season is finally almost here, with the season kicking off on Saturday.

Florida and Miami get things going in a "Week 0" game on Saturday, Aug. 24 in Orlando, Florida next weekend.

Who's excited?

We certainly can't wait.

Fans of the following five teams likely can't wait, either. ESPN has named five teams that will "bounce back" and be much improved during the 2019 season.

The five teams:

  1. Florida State
  2. Louisville
  3. TCU
  4. Virginia Tech
  5. Wisconsin

ESPN is very high on Virginia Tech, which should be among the contenders in the ACC.

It was pretty easy to see a stumble coming, and it's just as easy to now forecast a rebound. The offense that rallied to finish 41st in offensive S&P+ brings back Willis and a junior-heavy skill corps, and after nearly complete attrition a year ago, the Hokies return nearly their entire secondary. Their upside is as high as anyone's in the ACC Coastal aside from maybe Miami, and the primary thing preventing them from bouncing back to nine wins is a schedule that includes trips to Miami, Notre Dame and Virginia.

We'll get a look at another ACC contender next weekend in Miami, when the Hurricanes kick off the season against Florida.
