ESPN Names The 1 Game That Will Affect The College Football Playoff The Most

On Wednesday morning, ESPN's analytics department took a look at the upcoming college football season, specifically which teams have the best shot at making the college football playoffs. Alabama is not the favorite.

The Crimson Tide sit at No. 2 with a 47-percent chance of making the playoff and a 16-percent chance of making the title game. Clemson sits comfortably at No. 1 with a 67-percent chance of making the playoff, and a 24-percent chance of making the title game.

In its breakdown, ESPN named the six most high-impact games of the season - as if to say, the most important for the teams in contention for the playoff.

Ohio State and Auburn are attached to all six games. The Buckeyes travel to Michigan State during Week 11 of the college football season - which has been tabbed as the game that will most-greatly affect the playoff race.

Here's the full list.

Both Michigan State and Ohio State could be in contention for the playoff late in the season. It will be interesting to see if either the SEC or Big Ten can squeeze two teams into the playoff, like the SEC did last season.
