This weekend's slate of games is truly remarkable, as ranked opponents will clash and SEC showdowns will be taking place. However, ESPN has put four teams on notice today, as they have the 'most to lose' on the road.

Obviously, any loss can alter the playoff picture for this season, but it's magnified even more when it happens to an elite program. Well, these four ranked teams all need to avoid an upset.

Here's ESPN's list:

  1. No. 10 Washington at Utah
  2. No. 5 Oklahoma at Iowa State
  3. No. 1 Alabama at Ole Miss
  4. No. 4 Ohio State at No. 15 TCU

When it comes to Washington, there is absolutely no room for error this season. After losing to Auburn in their season opener, another loss would definitely derail their chances of making the playoff.

The Sooners will have to erase last year's demons, as Oklahoma lost to the Cyclones in a stunner. With Kyler Murray playing exceptional right now, prevailing on the road would be huge.

Moving over to the defending champions, Alabama is heavily favored to win tonight, yet Ole Miss provides their best opponent to date.

While all these games are intriguing, the game between the Buckeyes and the Horned Frogs might actually change the entire landscape of college football.

It's just the third weekend of the season, but four teams are already competing for their playoff lives.
