ESPN Predicts The Records For College Football's Top Teams In 2017

It’s never too early for some record predictions.

We're just a few months away from college football making a comeback. Our Saturdays haven't been the same without the ability to watch our favorite teams take the field. Simply put, we miss it.

So we're taking a look at how our favorite teams are projected to perform this upcoming season.

ESPN released a new Football Power Index (FPI) which predicted the wins and losses for every team in the country.

Here's a look at how ESPN's FPI predicts how the top teams will do next season.

ACC:

  • Clemson: 9.4 - 2.9
  • Florida State: 10.4 - 2.2
  • Louisville: 8.8 - 3.2
  • Miami: 9.1 - 3.4
  • North Carolina: 7.0 - 5.1

Big Ten:

  • Iowa: 7.0 - 5.0
  • Michigan: 8.3 - 3.7
  • Michigan State: 5.2 - 6.8
  • Nebraska: 5.5 - 6.5
  • Ohio State: 11.8 - 1.0
  • Penn State: 9.9 - 2.2
  • Wisconsin: 10.6 - 2.2

Big 12:

  • Oklahoma: 11.0 - 1.9
  • Oklahoma State: 7.7 - 4.5
  • Texas: 7.7 - 4.5

SEC:

  • Alabama: 10.6 - 1.9
  • Arkansas: 6.1 - 5.9
  • Auburn: 9.5 - 2.8
  • Florida: 7.9 - 4.4
  • Georgia: 8.4 - 4.0
  • Kentucky: 6.7 - 5.4

Well, there you have it, the records for the top college football teams.

Ohio State looks like a clear favorite, not only in the Big Ten, but in the college football landscape as a whole. Will the Buckeyes dethrone Alabama's run as the consensus No. 1 at the start of the season?

Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure, we're ready for the return of college football.
