Nebraska entered this afternoon's contest against South Alabama as a heavy favorite, with the Huskers looking to move to 1-0 to start the 2019 regular season.

So far, though, it's been a disappointing, ugly contest in Lincoln.

Nebraska is leading South Alabama 14-7, after two quarters of play at Memorial Stadium. The Huskers have been sloppy.

Scott Frost's team has struggled to take control at the line of scrimmage, with the Huskers being unable to move the ball consistently on the ground.

ESPN's Football Power Index has updated its projection for the Nebraska-South Alabama game. It still likes the Huskers.

ESPN's Football Power Index still gives Nebraska a 95.3 percent chance to win this game.

Nebraska will need to start taking control at line of scrimmage if the Huskers are going to pull away in the second half.

The second half of the Nebraska-South Alabama game will be televised on ESPN.
