Notre Dame has put together an incredible campaign, but if the Fighting Irish want to clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff, then they can't afford to lose their season finale.
The final test awaits against the USC Trojans, who will try to play spoiler on Saturday night. With all the drama surrounding the job security of Clay Helton, this could be the final game for him as head coach.
Whether it's the quarterback play or defensive production, the Fighting Irish clearly have the better roster. There's little doubt about which team will be the favorites entering this showdown.
According to ESPN's FPI, Notre Dame has a 76.0 chance of winning this game.
If the Fighting Irish win tomorrow, then it'll most likely place them in the playoff.
However, there is also tons at stake for the Trojans. Falling to 5-7 on the year would mark the school's worst season since 2000. Coach Clay Helton is also on the hot seat, and the result of this game could go a long way towards determining his fate.
Notre Dame and USC will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The game will be on ABC.
