The 2019 College Football Playoff race is starting to heat up as we head into the final days of October and approach November. Teams are eliminating themselves from the race on a weekly basis at this point.

More teams could be eliminated this weekend. ESPN believes there are three teams facing "must-win" games on Saturday.

ESPN's three teams facing "must-win" games have all lost once this season. Another loss would all-but end their chances of making the College Football Playoff.

The three teams, per ESPN:

  • Auburn, which plays at LSU
  • Wisconsin, which plays at Ohio State
  • Notre Dame, which plays at Michigan

Simply put: These three teams have to win out.

"Welcome to second-chance Saturday, where three one-loss bubble teams have an opportunity to regain some footing in the College Football Playoff conversation -- or drop out entirely. No one-loss team with a chance to win its Power 5 conference title is out of the mix. Where it becomes a distinct disadvantage is if those teams are compared to undefeated conference champions, but if Wisconsin, Auburn and Notre Dame keep winning -- while others stumble -- the debate will begin," ESPN writes.

Of these three teams, Notre Dame likely has the best chance of winning. Both Auburn and Wisconsin are going into their games as sizable underdogs.
