ESPN: TCU Won't Be A College Football Playoff Contender

The Worldwide Leader says the Horned Frogs won't make a run at the CFB Playoff.

TCU enters the 2017 college football season with fairly high expectations.

The Horned Frogs come in at No. 19 in ESPN's Football Power Index rankings and some are expecting Gary Patterson's team to contend at the top of the Big 12 with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Will they, though?

One ESPN expert says no.

ESPN college football writer KC Joyner says TCU won't contend at the top of the Big 12 or for a College Football Playoff berth because the Horned Frogs' offense won't be good enough and the schedule is too difficult.

TCU has to play at Arkansas in the non-conference and has road Big 12 games against Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
