ESPN: The 4 Preseason College Football Playoff Favorites

ESPN has updated its preseason Football Power Index projections. The projections include predicted win-loss records, strength of schedule rankings and more.

The Football Power Index rankings also just include simple, No. 1 to No. 130 rankings. That's probably the most intriguing aspect of everything they've put out.

So, right now, who is favored to make the College Football Playoff? Here are the four favorites:

1. Clemson

2. Alabama

3. Ohio State

4. Notre Dame

Georgia is actually projected to be the No. 3 team in the country, but with Alabama at No. 2 ahead of them, it's tough to see both teams making it into the College Football Playoff again. It's possible, of course, but with Notre Dame at No. 4, an 11-1 (or 12-0) Fighting Irish team would likely make it in over a second SEC team.
