Predictions for the 2018 college football season are starting to roll in. We're less than 3 months away from opening weekend, after all.

What are your predictions for the upcoming season?

Who's going to surprise and make a big bowl game? Who's going to disappoint and miss one?

ESPN's Football Power Index has a series of projections for the upcoming season. The FPI is predicting that three major programs will miss a bowl game.

These three programs all have major historic success, but all of them are now led by new head coaches. It could take some time for things to get going.

Those three programs:

  • Nebraska
  • UCLA
  • Tennessee

Nebraska, Tennessee and UCLA all have win-loss projections that feature more projected losses than wins. That's not going to cut it when it comes to bowl season.
