ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit Thinks "Nobody" Has A Chance To Beat This Team

Kirk Herbstreit discusses Jim Harbaugh on College GameDay.

Alabama's 2018 football team has yet to name its starting quarterback. Nick Saban is apparently still deciding between Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts (or, more likely, he just doesn't want to publicly announce his decision yet).

The decision is an obvious one to Kirk Herbstreit, though.

The ESPN college football analyst thinks Alabama should go with Tagovailoa, the big-armed QB who led the Crimson Tide to a national title game win this past January.

Tagovailoa gives Alabama's offense something it hasn't had during the Nick Saban era. If everything is clicking for Tua and Co., good luck stopping the Crimson Tide in 2018.

"It sets up on paper for Tua Tagovailoa to be the guy and Alabama to score at will," Herbstreit said on the SEC Network yesterday. "They will win every game and nobody will have a chance to beat them. If they find a distributor, this is the best offense Nick Saban has had."

Herbstreit continued:

"In the past it was defense, special teams, field position and Jalen Hurts running around and trying not to make mistakes," Herbstreit said. "If I see Tua (Tagovailoa) trot out there for the first snap, I'll just say to everyone I'm sorry. Because it's going to be a long year, and they're going to score literally 45-50 every game."

Herbstreit, unsurprisingly, is picking Alabama to win the national title this season.
