ESPN’s Laura Rutledge has taken some time away from the college football season for a very good reason this fall. She’s pregnant – well, she was pregnant.
Rutledge, a mainstay in ESPN’s college football coverage, announced on Wednesday night the birth of her first child.
Laura and her husband, Josh, welcomed a baby girl into the world.
“She’s here and we’ve never known love like this. Reese Katherine Rutledge. And yes, we share the same birthday,” she announced.

Laura’s husband, Josh, is a former Major League Baseball player. He played for the Rockies from 2012-14 and the Red Sox from 2015-17.
The ESPN college football reporter is planning on getting back on the sideline later this season.
Congrats to Laura and Josh.
