ESPN's Maria Taylor Addresses Her Interview With Nick Saban
Nick Saban was mad on Saturday night. Alabama blew out Louisville, looking very much like the national title favorite, but the Crimson Tide's head coach still found something to be upset about.
ESPN reporter Maria Taylor caught up with Saban following the blowout win for a post-game interview on the field. She asked him a very fair question about his quarterbacks.
Since Saban has yet to name a starting QB, Taylor asked what he learned about his two guys during the game against Louisville on Saturday night. For some reason, Saban took this as a negative question, saying the media needs to stop trying to get him to say something bad about one of his QBs.
This was the full interview:
Settle down, Nick.
Taylor, meanwhile, later took to Twitter to address her interview. Here's what she said about it:
"Don’t mind me...Just doing my job. On to the next game. See you at @VT_Football at @FSUFootball," she wrote.
ESPN announcer Chris Fowler also took to Twitter to defend her.
"Excellent colleague @MariaTaylor7 asked a fair QB question of Saban - which he must have misinterpreted - and he blew his stack. Unwarranted. It’s a cumulative thing, but NO intent to “disrespect” Hurts. (May be a long, uncomfortable year of press conferences in T-town!)" he tweeted.
It's certainly going to be a long year for Nick Saban media-wise if he's unable to answer any questions about his quarterbacks.
