ESPN's Sam Ponder Calls Out Network's New Partner Barstool Sports For Past Blog Post

This got interesting to say the least.

Last week, ESPN announced it was partnering with popular sports outlet Barstool Sports on a new ESPN2 show. The show, entitled Barstool Van Talk, will air on Tuesdays at 1 a.m. ET, and will feature Barstool personalities Big Cat, PFT Commenter and Hank.

It seems that not everyone at ESPN is happy with the new partnership. Tonight, Sunday NFL Countdown host Sam Ponder welcomed Big Cat to ESPN on Twitter by calling out the site for a past blog post that ripped her.

Here's Ponder's tweet, with a screenshot of some of what was written. A lot of the language is NSFW.

Big Cat responded, saying that he didn't write that blog post. It looks like the original post was written by Barstool employee Feitelberg and the editor's note might have been composed by Barstool founder Dave Portnoy. This set off a little bit of a back and forth between the two.

Ponder's colleague Sage Steele also came to her defense on Twitter.

Ponder tweeted one last message out to her followers.

Barstool is growing and very popular, but has taken plenty of heat in the past for the nature of some of its content. Therefore, its partnership with ESPN is going to be a controversial one in some quarters.

Clearly, Ponder isn't happy the two outlets are teaming up.
