Ratings for NFL pregame shows are dropping across the board.
Ratings for NFL pregame shows are dropping this season and no show has been affected more than ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown.
Sporting News’ Michael McCarthy reports that ESPN’s NFL pregame show has lost a significantly amount of its viewership.
ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown is now hosted by Sam Ponder, who replaced Chris Berman.
With Samantha Ponder succeeding Chris Berman as host after 31 years, ESPN’s “Countdown” has averaged 1.138 million viewers through the first nine weeks of the 2017 season. That’s down 14.8 percent from 1.299 million viewers for the same time period in 2016 and down a whopping 25.4 percent from 1.525 million viewers during the same stretch in 2015.
ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown also features Rex Ryan, Randy Moss, Charles Woodson and Matt Hasselbeck.
The show airs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. E.T. every Sunday during the NFL season.
